Job Description: 

Due to professional advancement Hershey Public Schools is looking for a 8-12 Agriculture Education teacher and FFA adviser.  Hershey is currently in the third year of a program of study in Nebraska Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources and is looking for a teacher to continue a program that has strong student participation and community support. The candidate will have the opportunity to continue the program of study and the FFA chapter in a newly renovated Agriculture classroom expansion with the potential construction of a greenhouse on school grounds. This position is strictly an Agriculture teaching position and there will not be Industrial Technology courses assigned to the Agriculture teacher.  Hershey Public Schools is a progressive district with excellent staff, students, and community support located 12 miles west of North Platte on I-80. Current enrollment is 525 in grades PreK-12.

Anticipated starting date for the 2025-2026 school year is August 11th, 2025. Extra duty pay will be included with the FFA adviser position ($5,715.00) and extended contract days (negotiable at daily rate salary) for summer work will also be provided. First year teachers start at $45,720.00 and can go up to $82,677.00 for expereinced teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. All years of teaching experience are accepted.  The salary index tops out at 2.17. Hershey Public School district pays for full family insurance through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Nebraska with a $1,050 deductible.
